Woo Relocation Fund
And besides all that, we have an awesome arts and cultural scene, immigrant communites, abundant colleges and universites, and thriving cutting edge businesses.
So you get it, right? Worcester is just great!
But Worcester has it's fair share of problems. We are struggling in our own distinct ways, as well as in ways that all cities do.
I think one of the biggest problems in our city is the almost constant feeling of restlessness in many of our people. Though at times this may be a good thing, mostly it seems to drive people to unhealthy actions and broken relationships.
The Woo's belief and experience is that that feeling of restlessness can be largely, and maybe uniquely, dealt with through a relationship with Jesus. The greatest challenge we've found is that most people have been so turned off by churches that they aren't very open to considering Jesus as an option.
But that's starting to change. Over 55% of the people that come to The Woo were not church goers when they came. And even if a non-churchgoer doesn't come back, almost all of them tell us that they had a good experience with us.
We are in the least church-going area in the country. And with over 6 million people within 50 miles of our church, we have a huge opportunity to help many, many people find their way into a life of faith.
