Spiritual Stuff

In our technological age, it's hard to slowdown enough to connect with God (a funny video about this by Louis C.K. is here - warning, it's a bit edgy).

The pictures above are links to some excellent sites that can help you as you spend time with God.

And perhaps the favorite spiritual practice for many at The Woo is Listening Prayer. Click here for a video about it.

Every spring, we offer a Daily Bible Guide, if this is during our Leap of Faith (which is when we post the DBG), click the button at the bottom of the page to sign up for our email version.

We also highly recommend that you sign up for Father Richard Rohr's Daily Meditation here and Rev. Run's Words of Wisdom here.

One of the favorite books for many of us at The Woo about spiritual things is a little one by a 17th-century monk known as Brother Lawrence. It is called "The Practice of the Presence of God". You can buy it here, or read or listen to it here. Also popular is his "Spiritual Maxims", which you can read here, or listen to here.

Recently, many Wooers have fallen in love with the daily devotional called "Jesus Calling" by Sarah Young. You can download the app here, or buy the book here.

The Daily Examen is a great way to prayerfully review your day. Lots of info about it is here.

And finally, here are a couple interactive Bible experiences from our friends at The River Church in NYC. Mark 1, 2 & 3, 5, and 6.
