About Us & Media
Our logo is a picture of what is maybe our biggest value, being "Centered-Set". The video to the left explains this value, as does the document here.
Our logo's multi-colors also represents that we are a multi-cultural church (ethnically, religious background, politically, socio-economically, age, etc.). The fact that churches tend to be the most homogenous groups in society accentuates how special it is that we are multi-cultural. Our hunch is that being "Centered-set" is the way we are able to pull this off. But whatever the reason, it's something we very much enjoy and it means that whoever you are, you are welcome and hopefully feel like you fit in.

The colors of our logo represent the sun, water, and earth, and that our church takes serious the Biblical command to take care of our environment (Genesis 1:28). Thus we spend a little extra on recycled materials (coffee cups, paper, toilet paper, etc.), sustainable and fairly traded, organic and bird friendly coffee from a local roaster, and many other things (like fair-trade and organic Woo t-shirts). Many of our members participate in community gardens and we have an onsite garden from which we give produce to Sunday service attenders. We also recycle as much as we can, compost on-site, and have partnered in various ways with many local grass-roots environmental organizations. Beyond this we give 1% of our budget to earth care initiatives outside of our church.
We began The Woo as a member of the Association of Vineyard Churches. Our letter explaining why we could no longer be members is here.
We are currently affliated with a network of similar churches, spiritual communities, and individuals called "Blue Ocean Faith". Our website is here.
